| | | Basic Wild Rice Recipe
1 cup wild rice 3 cups cold water 1 chicken bouillon cube or 1 tsp. granules or 1/2 tsp salt
Put ingredients in 2-quart saucepan. Cover tightly and cook over low heat until water absorbed. Approx. 25 min.
Can add sauteed celery, onions, mushrooms, nuts (almonds or cashews work especially well), butter or any combination vegetables and you have a great side dish!
Rice can be frozen in 1-2 cup containers ready for any recipe calling for cooked wild rice making a quick gourmet treat.
